Just Staying a bit

“Don't mention it. Now let me start on the pasta with meatballs!” She stood up from her chair “And besides, it will be nice to have someone to eat with, for a change!” She went to the kitchen to start dinner. “Make yourself feel at home!”
I watched some TV and drank my coffee. The coffee tasted great. I went out to the kitchen and asked “What have you put in this coffee??”
She was preparing the meatballs. “Oh you like it?”
“Like it? It’s the best coffee I ever tasted!”
“He-he! I got a farm where I produce honey from my own bees. That’s what’s in your coffee!”
“Mmmm honey. That is the best coffee ever!”
“Oh thanks, I’m glad you like it. I can give you some of that honey, if you want a jar?”
“Really? Yeah, sweet...I’d love to. Thanks! So you’ve got a farm?”
“Yeah, I got a lot of money and the farm when my dad passed away! I don't really care about the money, but I love my farm. My daughter and her husband keeps the farm running...they live in a separate house up there. So whenever I feel like going, I can!”
“Wow...that is cool! I did not know you had that kind of money!”
“Brian, money is not the key to happiness. It's all about the people around you! Family, friends, finding a life partner!” As she said all this things, the sun was going down, and the orange sunlight came through the kitchen window and onto her face and her red hair. She lit
up like an angel sent from heaven. “And that's why you need to find your soulmate...because that's the key to life!”
I looked at her and thought to myself ‘This is the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen in my life’. I loved her. And all I could say. “Yea, you're right about that. Foolish of me thinking of money. Sorry!”
“It’s ok, I’m just saying. You're still young!”
The meatballs and pasta were cooking and she started chopping tomatoes for the salad. Some of the chunks of tomato fall on the floor. I was just about to warn her, when she stepped right on them. You could hear the sound of her feet squashing them. She lifted her foot.
